Verts and profile name change ??

I have already given people verification but I’m now wanting to change my username.

So my question is … do the verification I have given to others stay in my old profile name or my new one or do they vanish off the peoples pages.

I know ones given to me stay with my profile as do my friends.

They should reflect your new username, once changed. There's a note in the FAQs on username change -

'If I change my username do I lose verifications / friends / other stuff?

No. Everything (including friends, verifications) stays the same and the only thing that changes is your username'

I read that as the verification you been given by others stay the same or is it just me reading it wrong?
