Removing photos from messages

I've had pictures sent to me by new users who aren't paying any type of support yet they have the ability to remove pictures from our conversation thread later on. How is this done because I can't see how to do it. I'm a silver subscriber so can do it myself, but how are they doing it?

If you add a direct photo choosing it from your phones photo gallery it auto removes after 24 hours.

Leeds (close to G.A.P.)

The sender can choose 'auto delete when read' I think
