Friend cant join

We have a friend who just opened an account. But is stuck on the photo verification page and wont let her use the site. Picture submitted and has been stuck on that for over 800 mins, is there a reason, or a way of fixing the issue?? TIA c

Speaking from experience when I joined the site, when this happened to me, I submitted a different photo, being careful about the specific rules, and it was eventually accepted.

The response times for approval vary, including how many photos moderators are on site, what other operational issues exist, etc.
