Portait Photo Uploading Landscape

Hi all, I've tried uploading a photo of myself to my profile. It's taken in potrait but every time I upload it, it flips to landscape. Has anyone else had this issue and how does it get fixed? I've tried flipping it landscape to see if that was the issue but it just does it again
