Why Is it that when I send a message the person will read got then reply then go offline

Call me pessimistic but seems like a scam that post fake profile get message then off

Why would they log off ? surely a scammer would stick around to "scam" people.

I would go with, they were logging off anyway so either didn't see the mail or saw it and decided to read it when they log back in

Not everyone uses the mailbox as an instant chat like service. Some of us just dip in and out of it, as it can mean a lot of effort and pressure. It can mean hours and days between messages, especially as most of us aren't looking for fast hookups. Sometimes it's a good filtering tool, as it deters those who expect immediate sex, just because we're online and maybe in a break at work that's about to end.

How come my sent messages disappear from a message thread and only show their message, it looks like we are deleting our part of the thread on our inbox but we aren’t
