Has anybody got a solution to the search function saying someone is online now, but when you send a message,it says they were last online many minutes ago.

There's a lag of a few minutes when someone logs off.

Also some people will just minimise the screen and not be active, so again there'll be a slight delay in it showing them as offline.

In the grand scheme of things it makes little difference. Most people won't necessarily see or read a message the second it arrives.
