whatever i search for it says there are always 300 results, how can this be?

300+ you mean ?

It’s what the s/w is reporting and guess that since the database has restricted search criteria, the reporting 300 or 300+ is the default response the s/w has written in to it.

After all there’s probably more than 10K profiles on here.

It will depend what you're searching for.

If you look for very specific criteria, small age bands, women, and within a small distance from you, you'll get less. But don't forget, searches will just pull in the data based on the search parameters, so profiles that are still live on site but haven't been logged in to for weeks/months will still show in the results. It's like any other database.

I typed 'playgrounds' into the username search box and got a result.

The only reason you wouldn't is if there was a block in place.
