Can you advise is account is automatically deleted if inactive for a certain period of time .

No it's not. I have a friend who hasn't logged in since 2018 and I can still see his profile.

All websites have difficulty harvesting dead accounts and a lot say “oh we have zillions of users” knowing that hundred of thousands have not been accessed for any months.

The only way to delete your profile is annoy the owners or DIY.
