Selfies come out sideways

The Side of the Mersey

Anyone know why whenever I upload a selfie either onto my profile or as a direct photo it comes out 90° from vertical? Doesn’t matter what angle I’ve taken the picture from. The photo will upright in my camera roll but sideways when I upload it.
