Profile disappearing

Has anyone experienced talking to someone and then suddenly you cannot message them anymore and your messages disappear? Could I have been blocked? It's a possibility but the other person was actively replying to me and they messaged me first. I cannot find their username on the search function.

They've deleted their profile I'm afraid. That's the only time messages disappear.

Or it was a fake profile and it's been taken off by admin. Had quite a few of those where I've been chatting quite nicely only for them to disappear.

That wouldn't make the messages disappear. As I said the only way that happens is when they delete their profile themselves
