Im having trouble with an ex, she was creating accounts, putting up fake pics and stalking my profile. I clocked her a few times using the who's looked at me section and blocked and reported... but it seems she has discovered stealth mode, can I stop people in stealth mode from viewing my profile?

Im sure I can't be the only person having this trouble?

I don't think you can. The only two ways you can stop people from viewing your profile is by blocking them individually or hiding your profile.

Well that's unfortunate, as I have no idea what profile she is using so i cant block her, and I don't want to hide my profile, as I like to use this site

If there was a way of blocking profile by email address, that would be helpful

No I don't think there is and given the ease of creating email addresses I don't think it would solve your problem

Very true! Was just thinking it would at least give her pause

They need to give us the option of stopping stealth viewers from looking at our stuff... can only imagine it's worse for young ladies and jealous exs

Your site change ideas will be reviewed, if you submit them.

But you can potentially make your profile and ID more hidden and less accessible to someone, who's looking for you, via your own tactics. Maybe change your area too, so that someone could find it harder to track a newer ID down.

Stealth mode is such a core part of Fab and other sites, that it's going to be unpopular to reduce the functionality etc.

I just wouldn't put anything on Fab that could be used against you. I note you have face pic so are easily identifiable.

However, if she is posing as someone else and you then send a face pic, game is up anyway.

She could sign up and pose as a couple, another female and use someone else's pic.

You really have no control over it.

Women often use viewing in stealth mode to avoid unwanted attention.

I'd advise anyone who was being stalked on line to conceal their identity as far as possible

So out of interest how do you use stealth mode? I have it set up so if i look at others profiles they cant see that i have looked at it Is that stealth mode?

Yes, that's what people refer to as stealth or ninja mode

If I couldn't view in stealth mode I'd probably leave the site to be honest. I don't want every man I've looked at getting excited and bombarding me with messages simply because I've looked at his profile which is what happened before I turned on stealth mode.

Exactly, as its not possible to ascertain whether a hidden profile is genuinely verified or not, in which case its reasonable for us to require a filter to be able to block hidden profile from visiting our profile.

Stealth/ninja mode and hidden profile are two different things though. So one filter wouldn’t solve any objection to it.

Stealth mode just means people don’t show up in the “who viewed me” - which means you don’t get “I see that you looked at my profile, why didn’t you message?” type messages. Not the same as someone hiding their profile.

Exactly why I don't have face pics and send face pics unless chat is established.. discretion and privacy are just a bottom line good idea and people who insist it's unnecessary or somehow make you a cheater need to pipe down and open their eyes to other people's bigger pictures they are having to guard against.

One thing I've noticed is even blocked profiles when they put up a new picture and it gets fabbed into the top pictures, you can still view these pictures even though you are blocked or they are blocked from each others profiles.. this site has lots of gremlins that allow stalkers these chances..

But if she created a new account and didn’t put a pic on it used a fake one you wouldn’t know it was her so just blocking stealth wouldn’t achieve anything really. But you can’t block it either as others have said.
