FabSwingers.com forum: What did I do wrong?

I posted today about a deal on a voucher discount website that was for swingers. I purposely did not put link or mention the website by name but yet my post got deleted!

I did mention in the post I was a forum newbie and someone else advised that I wasn't allowed to put the link, which I hadn't done.

Was only trying to help out some fellow swingers who may not be signed up to that particular website and therefore would not see the deal.

So, what did I do wrong? Is it because I haven't posted much in the forum? (only 1 post previously, I tend to lurk rather than post) or is it because it was seen as "advertising a commercial website"

I haven't received a message or "slapped wrists" from Admin giving any reason as to why the post was deleted so any advice given by the Admin would be much appreciated, thanks!

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Posts are removed for a number of reasons and when this happens Admin do not write to people to give a reason why. The thread or post is just deleted.

If someone receives a time-out for something they have posted then Admin do send them a message notifying them why.
