Someone blocked but not blocked...

Know this won't make sense but some one I talk to is saying they are blocked but they are not blocked, what can I do?

I had this problem last night in chat. I could see what they were saying in the chat room but I couldnt see their profile. I asked them if they could see my profile and they could, so they blocked and unblocked me and I could see their profile again. So this maybe worth a try
