I cannot for the love of God clear this unread message that is not even there.

I've logged out & in a number of times but it's still showing.

My inbox only has a handful of messages same with my outbox as I delete messages I don't want.

Any ideas.

I kinda have OCD , and it's driving me nuts

This happened to me a while ago and I ended up deleting all messages I have read elsewhere that logging in on a desktop might help. Worth giving it a try…

I've had this a few times. Each time it turned out to be an old message from someone who sent it and had their account deactivated and later reactivated by completing photo verify.

I cleared it by deleting dead messages until it rolled back on the page.

...My inbox consists of messages from 8 different people so not a great amount.

Never had this issue before on all the years I've been here

...This could be it.

I have 1 contact and in the thread there's a message I've sent 2 weeks ago that's marks unread even though he replied to more recent messages.

How bizarre

Now question is, how to rectify it

Messages you've sent don't affect your incoming message indicator (or shouldn't anyway) it is 99% likely to be an incoming message that has scrolled off the page
