Hi,

Got a webcam problem in chat, where as on the your cam section, it's just plain white, when you go into adobe flash player settings and click on the cam section of the settings, there is an image of a webcam, click that & it shows what the webcam see's... All good but as soon as we close the settings box, the webcam goes off..

Running windows 7 with a creative labs live sync cam..

Any help appreciated,

Lucy & Dale x

My cam won't work in newchat but it works in old

Check the following:

1. There is a 2nd link to activate your cam. If the main one doesn't work, use the secondary one which says in red "(Above not working? Click here)".

Secondary one does not appear!

Make sure you have the latest software for your web cam. Make sure you have the latest version of flash player.

If that does not fix it try a different web browser. For me cams work in Firefox and Google chrome but not in Internet Explorer.

Trying to wave my willy in New Chat!

I've got a similar problem with new Chat.

I use Windows 7, fully patched, latest flash player.

Firefox 19.0.2, patched

My cam works in old chat, but not in new.

In Old chat, when I turn on the cam, I get both Adobe Flash Player settings Dialog, one after another - AFP Settings dialog, and then the "Allow/Deny" dialog.

And then the cam works.

In New Chat, if I click "Start Cam" (top link) I get Flash Player settings dialog, which I close.

Then I click second "Above not working?" link, and cam frame goes blank, just the "Hide cam" and "Stop audio" buttons displayed.

No "Allow/Deny" option comes up.

In control panel, Flash player is set to "Ask me when a site..." for everything.

I've cleared out all flash player settings.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled flash player.

Same problem in IE8 and Chrome.

Any ideas?

Bump. I don't think I'm alone in having new chat room problems.

I have to reboot my mac each time to get the cam to work. It's a pain, but the only solution I have.

I'm having the same issue with a "Logictech HD Pro Webcam C910".

OS = Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit

I've tried IE 9 & 10, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox. All the latest versions. Made sure flash, shockwave, java, and logictech software is updated.

I have no issues with any other site with my cam.

I've also tried setting allow in global settings with no luck. It would be awesome if somebody would find a solution of the coders fix the issue. My suggestion is maybe converting the flash to HTML5. Adobe does have a tool to do this.

Not sure if any of the site people will even read this.

Some of the ppl we chat too on cam sometimes need to come into the old chatroom for their cams to work.

We like it in there anyway as its quieter and easy to cam without ppl pming u lol xx
