Yes there is a limit for everyone.

There are variables to determine the limit for each individual.

Time on site, PV, Supporter status etc.

But there is no published limit.

How do we know when we have reached the limit? do we get a message? I am currently not able to reply to any messages and don't know why.

Think it says message you have exceeded your daily limit (and possibly might be options to increase number of messages like photo verify or become a site supporter).

You might have a message ban if you mentioned a banned word phrase or website.. it lifts automatically after a couple of hours
