You should be able to verify.

Things that can stop a veri are, if you are on the same WiFi connection as the person you are trying to verify or if they have filters set eg if they have single males blocked and you are a single male.

You can only verify if you are cam or meet verified and have the green tick. unlike the original poster you don't have that, this is why you can't verify

If you go on webcam in the chatroom you could ask someone if they would kindly watch your cam and verify you that would get u the green tick, alot of people though prefer a meet verification as that shows u actually turn up

If they have the green tick (meet or cam) verification they could verify you, if not you need to meet or cam with someone who is verified and ask them to verify you
