Disappearing conversation

I was chatting to a couple on in messages (not chat). And this morning both. My sent and received. Messages to them have Disappeared.

Not still there with user no longer on site, just gone.

Any idea?

I didn’t block them.

I have blocked people in the past and I am sure the conversation was still there but you couldn’t click into their profile. Sadly I can’t even remember their name otherwise I would search for them

When people leave the site it deletes all their messages. It only says "user no longer on site" on the forums. Private messages just disappear.

If they blocked you I think the messages disappear

They don't. If they block you will still see the messages, if they're suspended by admin the messages remain but if they leave the site all messages sent and received disappear.

Had the same thing happen with multiple conversations this week - maybe some kind of purge going on?

You Can save messages

Save button in the middle of text

As you text further I see mine going too unless I want to store them in saved messages.

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

Yesterday all my sent messages bar 2 disappeared. Today 1 sent message disappeared. The inbox part of that conversation was still available. I clicked on the profile and not left or been online in past few weeks or blocked.
