Uploading videos onto a message

I have tried unsuccessfully to upload photos and videos from my profile onto a message when I tap the photo it comes with a blue tick but does not upload onto the message. What am I doing wrong?

You can't upload videos to messages.

You can only upload photos are you trying to upload the image then write the message.... As I've noticed at times writing the message then upload image you end up rewriting as it disappears... Try either method... It might be a glitch

You can only add videos that are already saved to your profile. You can't add then directly from your phone.

From what you are saying you are doing it correctly so I'm not sure why it isn't working.
