On the left hand side of each image there is a bin icon you press to delete them.

On the account screen there is an option to hide all images too, which makes them all private.

Wherever

Go to “account”, then to “manage photos” and just click the tiny trash can icon next to the picture you want to delete, I think it’s how you can delete them.

The hide all images option just stops showing site images when you’re browsing the site. Useful if you’re browsing the site on a mobile device in a public place. It doesn’t set your photos to private. To do that you would need to go to the manage photos page and set each photo to private from there.

Thanks for pointing this out. So there isn't a quick way to hide profile images other than hiding profile and/or deleting the images one by one?
