I've experienced in the past having a conversation via messages with someone then the messages remain but change to 'user no longer on site' or whatever it says. That's fine, I understand that.

But a short while ago a guy I'd messaged a lot disappeared. As did his messages. It was literally one day half my inbox was from him and he was on my friends list, the next day, everything gone without me deleting anything.

Is this because he was blocked instead of voluntarily left, or was it a glitch?

Like I said, just out of interest coz it's been bugging me!

The messages would still be there even if someone has blocked you or left the site.

I would change your log in just in case.

I believe it will have been because they deleted their account. All messages that I had exchanged with a cougar friend disappeared when she deleted her account (after finding enough cubs).

That's happened before but has said they've left the site and messages still show. These had totally disappeared which is what made me think maybe their account had been deleted by admin due to a rule break etc

This is normal eventually mails from someone no longer on site are removed unless you have saved them
