Hi,

Can you tell me how accurate the "right now" GPS accuracy is?

For example if it says "Within 5 miles" is there any way that would appear of the user was further then say 10 miles away

I think it can take a while to catch up with a person who is on the move. I often see people who are "within half a mile" of me. I guess the "accuracy" is limited for privacy reasons rather than technical.

It can be way off, if the 'mobile who's near' is off, yours orv theirs.

I believe it'll then go off the postcode linked with the profile.

I'm aware of this because when we were away, over 200 miles away, we had a couple of times people messaging, as we replied we're not in the area, they've responded that it states we're 5 miles away.

Not at all. I have had the case where I was stood talking to someone, but Fab said we were 100 miles apart.

If one or both phone's GPS is not active, it will not update the Fab position.

A town near you

I've seen people come up as "walking distance" whatever that is.

Two people on a meet sitting together should give it a try and see what there respective phones tell them

I guess walking distance depends on how far you’d be willing to walk to meet the object of your desire. For you I’d guess about 200 miles would cover it
