Text msg site supporter payment on iD Mobile

Has anyone else had any issues with the Site Supporter text message payment on iD Mobile? I've used this for years, but this time I've received a message from iD saying that shortcode messages aren't part of my allowance, but no suggestion of how they can be added. Has anyone else had this issue? And if so, what was the solution?!!

I have! First I had to check that premium calls and messages were enabled, so you need to check that. Once enabled you should be able to use them, even though it does charge extra as it's not in the plan. However, I have everything enabled and am still not getting a pin code text back and the helpline is useless, just refers to phone upgrade which is way more expensive rue to network charges.

These are some common reasons text upgrades fail:

* You're not in the UK (text upgrades only work in the UK from a UK SIM)

* You don't have sufficient credit if you're on PAYG

* You're not setup to receive adult premium content (contact your mobile network, they can age verify you and sort this)

* Your network has blocked your account from receiving premium contact because of other issues

* You don't have reception

* Your phone inbox is full
