we have one message showing as unread all the time. when we go to look no unread messages. this is very fustrating and not a nice experiance on the website. please can you fix this

No need to shout at me just trying to help!

Its usualy u get 2 messages from the same person before opening the 1st one the unread one gets lost in the thread sometimes looking back throught the message threads can find it

Try logging out and in, that sometimes helps, if not, it usually clears itself after a few days.

Switch between message settings but each time refresh page few times so the information can be uploaded it helps

Switch to the old style mailbox and you will find the message there. You may have to delete some of the newer messages for it to rise back up the page.

I have done all this and still showing as one unread message. I need a developer from site to fix it. I think it has something to do with blocking someone a unread message deleted

It does happen to me probably about once a year, and even if none of the fixes mentioned in this thread work, it does clear itself somehow after a little while.

Unfortunately it's probably something you will just have to live with until it sorts itself if you've tried everything else mentioned.

Update. It didnt clear on its own. deleting all messages didnt fix it. going back to old messaging centre didnt fix it.

It took me making contact with fab owners 7 times and in the end the only reply they could be bothered to reply to was issues making payment on upgrades section.

anyway all fixed but clearly its a issue that fab needs to fix.

Am so glad found this post.

Same thing has happened to us and it’s so frustrating.

When we log on it ohhh yay we have a message then, nope, no we don’t lol.

After reading about will wait a few weeks and if not will be back with more questions lol.

I had the same problem. Turned out to have an unread message for real, but it didn't go to the top. So somewhere down the line you'll find an unread message. Not sure it made a difference, but I used a different browser to do this.

Click on messages then just below, click it and scroll through to change
