Photos disappearing from PM’s?

Is there a time limit on photos attached to sent PM’s before they “disappear”?

Mine sent photos disappear after a couple of days, is this normal or can this be altered, if so how, are there settings somewhere?

Site supporters can set a photo to be deleted after being seen

The photos I’m referring to are disappearing before they have been seen. Where are the settings for this please?

Auto-remove photos from message after it's read (improved privacy)

Click on this before you send and it will remove after 24 hours ( I think that is the timescale)
