Blocked but hidden profile

Was chatting with a guy, he asked a question but when I went to answer it said user has blocked you. Fair enough, I block plenty. But usually in this case it would say I couldn't view his profile as one of us had blocked the other, or was suspended by admin. But it just says user has hidden his profile. Is this a glitch? Just a wee bit confused lol

it is possible to hide your profile and that must be what he's done. Did it actually say he'd blocked you?

No just when I went to answer his message, it said I couldn't as I had been blocked. That's his prerogative of course, just wasn't sure why it didn't say that when I viewed his profile, just that it was hidden

I'd presume he'd done both? Hidden his profile, and blocked you probably. Hidden profiles can obviously still message, and the recipient can then still reply... Guessing he blocked you too, or else you'd still have been able to contact him, even with a hidden profile on his part

Ah right, so if he unhid his profile, it would then say it was unavailable to view because one of us had been blocked... That makes a bit more sense thanks
