Hi

just wondered if anything had changed.

When we block a profile that has always meant the person was also blocked in the chatrooms as well. However recently we have noticed that the people we block from their profile they are not blocked in chat and over the weekend been pm ing us before we even noticed them. Surely we dobt need to block profiles and in chat ?

Only noticed this recently

Do you have lots of people on your block list? I believe you can only block up to a set amount.

Are you sure it's the same profile you originally blocked then on? They could have come back after deleting their old profile.

Yes we have alot on our blocked list. but their profile remains blocked and they confirm they cant see our profile but are visable in chat and able to pm us.. which is what is confusing. if you click on their name in chat it goes to their blocked profile. it never used to be like it once blocked from profile they were blocked in chat as well. completely threw us when blocked people start pm ing in chatroom. lol

I think I saw somwhere that if you have a huge amount blocked, some of the blocks over that amount won't work in chat.

( or something like that, will try and find it )

Seems system in new chat especially cannot cope with long block lists

And it seems it only doesnt work with the really freaky ones that were blocked because they were really quite frightening ! typical..

advanced search filters out blocked profiles but basic search doesnt

Don't block so many then!!!!!!

I totally agree with the scary and the nuiscance, but some folk seem to block everybody and everything! I got blocked by contacting someone just below my age range, but I genuinely thought they may be interested as I ticked the other boxes and was quite near, some contacted to introduce myself and say have a look. I got miffed getting blocked, can't you just ignore or delete?

why?

If you're not their cup of tea then why would you need to contact them again?

I wouldn't necessarily but perhaps they may change thier criteria or outlook on things, or maybe they put a posting in the forum I would like to respond to like a party !!!!!. And it would be nice to have the option! Agree if they get contacted again for no reason?

Maybe just me being sensitive, but blocking seems very sort of well hard!
