Disappeared messages

We had a very disappointing meet last night.

Partly our own fault, ignored some red flags but anyway.

We went to block the guy afterwards only to find that all of our messages back and forth have disappeared.

How’s that happened?

If he’s blocked us then wouldn’t messages still be there?

We now realise the account has been deleted.

I’m out of pocket the cost of a hotel so don’t make him out to be the victim.
