I always figured that the phrase "By (user no longer on site)" was a placeholder for a username where that user had posted something in the forums but had since left the site (presumably by deleting their profile).

However, I've started to notice that quite a few users appear to be creating an account, posting a comment in the forums and then leaving the site in quite a short space of time.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that people leave for myriad reasons, they don't like the responses to their forum comments (let's face it sometimes people get a very rough ride), someone upsets them via private message, they realise fab isn't what they imagined, they see someone they know etc etc. There's nothing sinister behind it.

FAB should actually make this a rule, on other sites you can't access either the forums or chat rooms unless you buy silver, gold or platinum membership. That makes the chatrooms a whole better experience xxxxx Suzi
