Age filters not working

Anyone elses not working? Its getting on my tits, quite frankly, what a pointless function.

The age filters don't work where you have exchanged messages with someone who is now outside of your age preference

Dunno, I just tried and it won't let me message you.

Anyone know if it's possible to change your age to beat the filter, message someone, then change your age back?

I'd try.... But effort...

It's partially possible.. They can change their age to message you, but there's a time (24 or 48 hours i think) before they can change it back again.

OP try clearing cookies / history and re-setting the filters. that worked for me.

If you want to know whether there has ever been any contact with you and another member, click on their profile, at the bottom of the menu, if it is blank, it means you have never had any contact. If it says something like "they messaged you a year ago" bingo! That means they can still contact you even if they are now outside of your age preference, just block them in that case

They can only contact you if you've replied to them...

The filters don't apply and still people can message you if you...

Have mailed someone before (so if you mail someone you have otherwise filtered, they can reply)

Winked at someone (because if you wink we figure they should be able to reply)

Have them as a friend (because that makes sense)

This is why I don't send thanks but no thanks to people who don't match my preferences if / when I have my filters off for any reason
