Pixelated photos

Hey, I’ve added a photo of myself today which is crystal clear in my camera roll but it’s uploaded really pixelated on my profile. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks

I suspect the photos are compressed when they are uploaded.. Mine deteriorate too

If your pics meet the standards of the site. I'd upload it again, perhaps after you have made your own adjustments to the image quality. Maybe resubmit the original and the adjusted 1, to compare the results. You'll be limited to how many you can upload per day, so keep an eye on this. Just set to public those that you are happy with.

Also, could cropping it allow file size reductions but not loss of essential content?

I think you have to upload it in a different format. There are a few different ones ..

Like PDF ..Jpg.

I don't know how you do it though, another member probably will know though.

Jpg or jpeg are best formats to use. Dont use pdf, thats 'generally' for text files and can be difficult to edit/crop images in that format.

Also, don't use mpg mpeg for images, they're used for video files.
