a friend of mine has a been banned from the site for exposing the truth about someone we think the person exposed was a mod or a friend of theirs is a mod is there any way to appeal the ban?

the person concerned should copy and paste the above into the browser bar.

I'm not sure what you mean by exposed but

mods and friends of mods have no power to ban people from the site on a whim.
