Cambridge/ London but often Herts/ East Anglia

I'm not spotting any difference at all, but that surprises me why it was created so just in case.

What am I missing between 'Reply to Thread' (not +quote) vs 'Add new message to this topic'?

Thanks :D

reply in forum with just send your reply onto the post if you want to reply to a specific comment then reply & quote is what you would choose

The difference, on mobile anyway, is you can “reply in forum” from any post, but you have to scroll to the bottom to “post new message to thread”.

Hey, yea thanks, sorry my message could probably have been clearer but I meant ignoring the plus quote option which is an obvious difference.

Thanks, yes it is the same on the desktop. Reply in forum seems to be the most obvious option that people would use, even if just from the latest message. Just can't see why the second option was there then and/or if it had a different outcome. Perhaps it is simply a redundant feature. As long as I'm not making a classic mistake of not realising I was using the wrong option.

It would have made perfect sense if there were threaded replies.
