Hi, whenever I attach a pic to a message which is direct from my phone, it only stays on the message for 24 hours and then is automatically removed. How can I attach it so it remains and is not removed? I’m sure this has already been answered before, so apologies if duplicating.

No, because it is a direct message via the mobile version of this site, no phone numbers involved.
