Reading stories section problem

Hi folks When I go to read a story in the stories and fantasy section the page flips over to what I think may be desk top Not being a smart phone geek ( no offence intended) the story starts somewhere in the middle and as it’s the first story on the list you can’t then click on to the page showing a list of titles but throws you back out to the forum list Tried looking on site for an answer but no success Any help please
