This is frustrating, I have ‘1 unread message’.... but I don’t!?!?! How can I clear it?

Try going back to the old mailbox then switch back to the new that clears it sometimes

I think it's a glitch that happens occasionally I've had a few times, if you ignore it or can't find the way to work it out it eventually it goes away on it's own.

You can try logging in and out or switching to the old style mailbox and back .

I had quite the opposite - I had a message from someone to which I replied then they replied back to me again. I didn't reply to their second message immediately but when I went back half an hour or so later - all trace of those messages both read and sent, had vanished without a trace ????.

I hadn't deleted or cleared anything from my mailbox but they just vanished

when somebody leaves or is removed from the site all the messages go with them. That maybe what has happened
