Identical repeat messages

I spend a bit of time reading the forums and don't always check my messages. On a few occasions I've had repeat messages, completely identical, from the same guy/s.

There doesn't seem to be a set time delay between the messages, which leads me to believe that the impatient twunts are just resending the same message to me in the hope that I'll reply sooner (doesn't work). I've called them on it and they claim they aren't doing it.

So my question is, Are they spamming me and risking getting blocked? or is there a genuine "repeat message" problem here?

No I don't think theres a repeat message problem

I think people send out the same messages to loads of others and don't even realise they're sending them to the same person more than once

Its called casting your net far and wide in the hope of a bite from someone

The stupid thing is that it's guys I've been chatting to. Several identical messages a few hours apart with specific things in them that wouldn't make sense sending to another person.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I think it happens more with people who message from their phones. They hit send a little too hard or have a finger twitch and it will go twice.

Or if the site is slow and your message 'hangs' you might end up refreshing, which sends it again. I know thats happened to me a couple of times.

I use to double message on my old phone by accident a lot. Hell i even double posted in the forums a few times lol

pretty sure its the phone users as have experienced sending multiple versions ... not usually because have hit button twice but maybe signal has dropped out so appears not sent, or get the infamous screen saying page cant be found

The system was changed earlier this year to block accidental repeat messages so these shouldn't be happening... If you do get two identical messages use CONTACT link to inform admin along with username they came from we can check the system is working as expected

It happens a lot - blokes do a copy and paste and send it out to anyone who takes their fancy in a big mail session. It makes me press delete!

It's not the guys - it's the phones - I woke up one morning and had 36 messages, suddenly thought I'm popular until I opened them and 34 were identical and from the same person
