I've already used the "contact us" link to ask about this issue and, since I've received no reply, I will post it on here too.

Maybe, just maybe, admins should use common sense/actually check out the details when receiving reports rather than immediately take action whether warranted or not. Are you really not aware of the fact that many idiots abuse the report feature just to get back on people?!

A couple of days ago, I had written the following status:

"Daaaamn! Never seen so many wankers (literally!) in my life! I appreciate that the current situation is ...challenging but, no, I don't want to "talk" on cam/kik".

A few hours later it was cleared. I assume by an admin because someone reported me.

What rule exactly has that status breached?

I did *not* insult anyone (the use of the word "literally" made that clear) and I was *not* asking to meet up with people.

Since 99% of the messages I receive lately are almost identical in saying "wanna talk on cam/kik to wank together?", I think I have the *right* to let people know that I'm *not* interested in doing that, thus saving both me and them wasting time with making contact.

I applaud the site's initiative re CVD-19 but, unless you're using a (badly configured) algorithm to enforce those rules, *please* make sure that there's a *genuine* rules' breach before you take action.

Thanks.

I feel your pain but it’s probably best just to suck it up and move on as that’s what we now do.

Best of luck OP and stay safe.

I believe that status updates are meant to be fun, what you're looking for at the time, what you're doing etc.

The status update you've put up comes across as angry and some could see it as insulting. Those kind of status updates get removed quickly.

The site is trying to keep a positive vibe. Imagine new people joining and one of the first things they see are all status updates angry, people are ranting and having a go at each other in local area. Nobody would stay.

You abused one or more site members. It isn't allowed

Someone asking you to cam is not against rules, just block the person instead
