Im not sure this forum area is the right one or if its made for the change one letter tyoe games but I have always wanted to learn how to play DnD, does anyone play or can lead me on in the right direction haha I know its mainly a in person game but is there online versions?

I am a variety noob at this.

It can be played online, there are also a lot of sites that can help groups play online easier.

I've not had chance to play myself yet, but really do want to.

Finding a group is difficult though, especially with social anxiety issues lol

Much more simplified game now, 2/3rd edition lots of books, page flicking combat tables. Plenty of solo games available to download if you are finding it difficult to find a group

There's a roleplaying society at Aberdeen University that's open to non-students. They'll have D&D, and likely other TTRPGs, you can try out.

Look for your local board game shop, they will most likely be running an intro to dnd session at some point or have groups running. that or most comic cons and expos seem to be running intro sessions nowadays.
