Murder on the Fab Express

Intro..

One fateful night in late August a large group of people met on a train platform in Manchester. It was a private platform that only one train would stop at and only those who had received a special invitation would be allowed to board once the train arrived. The train in question was the Fab Express and it was due any moment to collect the large group of swingers and take them on what was supposed to be a pleasurable nights social, but, what would later turn out to be the scene of several murders.

It was a few minutes before 9pm and everyone had arrived and as the group waited people began to mingle and talk. They introduced themselves to those they had only previously chatted to online and it wasn't long before the group as a whole was relaxed and in good spirits. The theme for the evening was formal dress and as they chatted together they also commented on and complimented each other on their beautiful gowns and tuxedos.

As the clock on the platform struck 9pm exactly and as the bells began to chime, the faint sound of a locomotive engine could be heard in the distance. By the 9th chime of the clocks bell a large black steam engine, ornately decorated and with the name The Fabulous Express, came into view. The trains brakes squeeled as it slowed to stop at the platform and, upon stopping, all the trains doors opened at once and out of one stepped the handsomely dressed host, Sirius.

"Can I have your attention please?. My name is Sirius and I am your host for the evening and might I say that I am delighted that you all could make it. I would ask you to please board the train, have your invitations ready to present to my waiting staff who are just inside each door. Once you are onboard if you would please make your way to the rear car which is the dining car. If you could then find a place at the table containing the list that includes your name. The tables have been arranged so as to afford you the chance to get to know those who we think are a match. Once you are all seated I will say another few words and we shall be on our way."

Once everyone was boarded and seated at their tables Sirius entered the dining car again and announced that the social had begun and that the night was now underway. He explained that the train would drive around a predetermined route for the next 4 hours before returning to the platform at 1am. Sirius then pulled on a chord running along the top of one of the cars sides and upon doing so a steam whistle blew and the train began to move.

Once the train had gotten up to speed the waiting staff appeared and began to serve champagne to each guest. Once all glasses were full they left the dining car again so that only host and his guests were left. The first course would not be served until 9.45pm and until then everyone talked, laughed and flirted amongst themselves..

I'll leave it here for now and explain the game to those still reading. If you would like to play please say that you are in and once the thread is full I will choose 5 of you to become the murderers. I will pm you to tell you that you are a murderer and I will assign you a number from 1 to 5. I will then make a second thread with a complete list of all the guests and another thread this evening which will begin the game. I will write a second part of our story in this evenings thread which will end with the first murder which will have been carried out by the 5 murderers. At that point murderer number 1 will PM me who they want to kill from the remaining guests and I will write a quick paragraph to the story detailing the name of the victim and how they died. Those not murderers can then have a guess as to who they think is one of the murderers. Once a total of 10 guesses have been made if no murderers have been guessed correctly there will be another death. I would then ask murder number 2 to PM the name of thier victim. The game ends when all 5 murderers have been discovered or 3 out of 5 if the game is dragging on.

This might be fun to do or it might have been a waste of my time writing this out lol if you are interested and want to play then say you are in

Ok folks, so far:

Conductor- Wonko the Sane - you may be required to call out stops bud each time someone dies. I was thinking that if people are guessing too fast then there is potential for unscheduled stopping at different places to dump of corpses and pick up new guests.

Either that or if theres interst we could maybe start a second game.

Each death will be of my design but weapons will be included depending on the style of murder. As you folk chat in the side thread I would hope you keep your chat to the style of the evening and i will keep an eye on what is mentioned and look for potential things to use as clues. Clues to help and clues to throw you off the scent
