What was your first games console as a kid?

Mine was a ZX Spectrum 48k followed up by an Atari ZTE, then Amiga 500, then upgraded to 1200.

Then the eea of Playstation happened

First console were Atari 2600 fav game on that will always be space invaders, then onto the master system with sonic built in, some systems had Alex the kid instead. After them consoles I've practically had (still have) all consoles apart from dream cast and mega drive.

Just got my spectrum vega today

Loaded with hundreds of games plus memory card with 1000 pre loaded games

Alex were built in certain versions of the master system, think 2nd versions had sonic an 1st had Alex.

I’ve a heap of bought games but my dad was well into burning his own floppy discs for it and we’ve hundreds of those

Oh yeah used burn my own. Was a group of about 50 used to meet every week in local youth centre and burn all new games.

What was your fav game for Amiga. Mine was a football managing game.

Sensible soccer was played quite often but I liked Eye of the beyholder and Monkey islands one and two

Yes sensible soccer was good

Ajax were the team to be. With Marc over Mars. Kluivert, litmanen.

There was a hack to score goals easily. Shoot diagonally from 18 yard box where semi circle met

I think I did that without thinking about it i used to make my own team names up

I got an @games console which is like the old Sega Console with built in games like sonic Golden Axe and Streets of rage, you can also use the old games on it. Pretty sweet for about £30

Yeah think I've had something similar. Loved golden axe. Spent many pounds in arcades on that game.

First console was the Sega master system with sonic the hedgehog. Took it home and set it up then realised I couldn't see the cartridge for sonic.. So put it back in the box and off to argos only to be told it was built into the machine.... Idiot.... Need to reed instructions

Sega Mega Drive when I was 18 - everyone at work had one and we'd compare our progress every day as no social media or mobiles back then - we thought nothing could ever supercede the Sega Mega Drive and Sonic the hedgehog!!
