Anyone used the train to get there from London? Any tips or suggestions how to book?

Cambridge and Cap d Agde ( various weeks 2021 )

Hello , I have travelled by Eurostar ( once )

Unlike air travel , you cannot usually book Eurostar more than three months in advance . In addition Eurostar is usually more expensive than the cost of a flight .

If travelling by Eurostar , you will be leaving London at 6 am and the earliest you will arrive will be about 3.30 pm . You will then need to get a bus or taxi to the village .

Yo will have the change at either Paris or Lille . At Paris you will have to catch the underground , at Lille it is simply a platform change .

I found the journey to be relaxing and time went very quickly .

Are the French train drivers not still having industrial action ? Of course it may all be settled by the time you go.

We went by train last year, and will be doing the same this year - far more relaxing than messing about at airports.
