If you google "echangiste" you will find a myriade of sites. Jacquie et Michelle is one of them. The rest are a clone of each other. When you don't see it is free be sure it is a rip off.

I joined Libertec, it seems to be much like Fab. I haven't been busy on it as I'm trying to figure it out. I need a whole new French vocabulary.

France, Not in

Lots of similar sites in France but have not yet found one that gives you the free use like fab. All the sites I've found are pay only. With these sites you can join and set up a profile but you have to subscribe before you and read any messages that people send. Anyone that you join will be discrete.

The only free option is to put a free meet add on the site vivastreet. The add stays open for about 3 months and you can reply to any that contact you all for no subscription cost. I suppose its a bit like craigs list.

It's a site like Fab, free for some things, but you subscribe for all singing and dancing

A bit more expensive, 60e a year or you can pay monthly for 10e

It works - I've had good success with it

Entre Coquins, Nous Libertine, Netechangisme and Libertic are all sites we’ve joined over the last three years.

We’ve had most success with last two, the last one is closest to Fab, it was free when we joined provided you provided 3 photos for your profile but you may need to pay now.

The others have a subscription if you really want to use them.

Thanks everyone for the helpful messages...Emma: Vivastreet no longer does personal ads...this is becoming more and more rare.

I joined Libertec for a week with little luck.

Thanks for the update on vivastreet. I used it for a personal add back in Feb and it was very successful - back to the drawing board then.

In a week you are not going to get anywhere. You need to give it a month or more.

I put up profiles on all of the available sites, that was easy and it was only after messages started to come in that I found out you have to be a paying member to open the messages. So for me the sites do work but there is no free use option like the fab sites.
