this is our 5th year and can say this has been the strangest one yet . back in the uk you expect some people to make contact And then dont reply when you reply. But when you are both in Cap and one says would love to meet you then dont reply back is strange . but when you have a meet with another couple who tell you the complete difference to what there profile says. Then you find out from the same place. Have always said how great the people have been . But why ignore a fellow brit if they say afternoon. god even our neighbour greets us with a guttern morgun.

We've had folks saying they are on the beach, in a certain bar, off to a club in the Cap and their status GPS shows them as back in the UK and they get a little sniffy when you gently point out this issue.

On the campsite we have had Brit couples blank us once they hear our Geordie accents. But thankfully most people are good fun and don't care how you speak.

Tell us about it, we always smile and say hello when we go into bars, for 2 reasons, do they speak English and do you get more than a blank stare or a grunt.

It doesn't really bother us if it's the latter, means we can move on quicker and are not obliged to spend time with somebody who is social inept.

We find the patio socials a great way of meeting like minded people, at least these people make the effort to show up.

But with all the problems the Cap is still one of a kind.

We have been in cap this week and can honestly say we haven’t seen that many brits I suppose we haven’t done many of the clubs just focusing on the beach bars and restaurants we are having a great time. As naturists we are just so chilled out by the cap ambiance we have only scratched the surface of the party scene will be putting that right as the week goes on.

You get nowhere in France if you don’t say ‘bonjour’ .... shops, tourist offices etc. No bonjour = you are rude and will be ignored.

No excuse for a lack of bonjour/ hello/ acknowledgement whoever you are.

We are the same. We came as naturists 2 years ago (originally heard about it about 20 years ago but having children put us off coming) and have only just started to scratch the surface ad far as swinging is concerned. We spend all day on the beach (baie de cochon obvioualy) then have a sangria or two on the wall outside our apartment before heading out for food and a drink. Only once been to 2x2 but had some fun in our room as well.

We say bonjour to anyone we meet when sat on our wall or if interacting in any meaningful way but don't just say hello to everyone we see. It all depends on the time place and situation.

The whole “we’ll see you there posts “ and then never to be seen, are not just confined to Cap!! It also happens in GC! Really odd. Is it just blokes fantasising about swinging ? Lonely, so they create a profile, get active in the chat rooms , forums, pm people. Makes them feel special when they get replies ? Feeling part of it in their heads ?? Weird innit ??

We’ve been to Cap d’Adge the last three summers and we very quickly learned that we would avoid using Fab to arrange meeting people there.

Really don’t need Fab whilst there, so much going on but definitely got messed around though, no reason why.

Thanks to those people who did say hello, chatted, drank, danced and had naughty fun during our time at the Cap.

Would go again in early September but love early June too. Best to do both.

Those who visit Cap d Agde are a varied cross section of society and their attributes are no different to any others.

I found quite a few friendly , chatty and interesting members this year.

Apart from those who attended my soiree evenings , two couples introduced themselves as I was walking past their apartments in Poet Nature ( seems they recognised me from profile pictures) and an English lady complimented me on my outfit.

To get the best out of Cap d Agde you probably have to put some effort in . The effort you put in will vary from member to member. In my case I like to wear an evening outfit that is appropriate for Cap.d Agde and it feels good when you are complimented on it. Organising soiree evenings takes time and effort buy again a great way of meeting new people.

On a simplistic basis to get the best out of Cap d Agde you have to put some effort in.

My thoughts exactly. I could never see the point in going to Cap and then drinking in the Old Jonnies .

There is no comparision between it and a bar as Pilouterie.

Glad you got a good result. You are competing against a lot of stunningly dressed and well presented continental ladies . Lady H must have put in considerable effort to be a big hit with the French..
