Just looking for an honest opinion as we have never been there before. Is it anything going on there party wise, end of May? Is it actually warm enough at this time of the year to get naked lol? Also looking for accommodation. Thanks for any input

I’m thinking of heading there at the same sort of time.

Done a bit of research, weather looks to be reasonable but not as hot as later in the Summer.

Also wondering how many 20-30 something’s are going to be there.. or is it mainly 50+ folks?

Hi . I go for 5 separate weeks one of which is the last week in May , the others being last week of June, July , August , September .

It is quiet but I prefer the quieter weeks as service is bettèr. For sex you will find plenty in the Sauna or Adult cinema and you only need to have a few enthusiastic couples for a successfull party. In addition there is always the small ads in La Une or Viva Street .

End of May can be very nice mid to upper 20's Celsius. A good time to visit. Can't email you info.

I choose to go there at the end of May because it is a little cheaper than later on and it is not quite as hot. On my previous visits there were a lot of people in any of the venues and on the beach but not overcrowded.

I was in Cap last year on the last weekend of May. Not too busy and the weather was nice enough to walk around nude.

Must clubs were open when i was there.

We've not been late May but have done the first week in June a couple of times.

It was quiet midweek and not that much going on at all but the weekends were quite lively. Also you will miss out on foam and pool parties which don't start until mid/late June.

Now we have booked the apartment (I think we did lol) but haven't received any confirmation and we haven't been charged for the deposit yet. Just checked and that apartment is no longer available in that date so it looks like it is reserved. Is it normal or we did something wrong? We have used cap nat for booking.

International visitors in their 20's are quite rare. You will find quite a few young French, especially at the weekends.

"Is there any other places for younger people? "

Le Glamour club tends to attract a younger crowd but as mentioned above, couples in their 20's are not common.

Mainly 30's and 40's.

We look at it like this...

If you're more interested in the social side of things then age does play a big role.

If it's just having fun in a club, then as long as you find the other couple mutually attractive and drama free, then what the hell.

Just enjoy the moment...!!

hi

I didnt read your message properly, the 2by2 is a sauna but the other clubs have a dress code sort of in that the woman have to look sexy, no trousers, the guys have to look tidy with proper shoes etc.

It is a bit sexist really lol. There are some restaurants which are interesting "Joys " it seems has a bit of an edge

"Ok thank you we will check it out. Do clubs out there have any dress code? How about entry fee for couples?"

There is no dress code for the sauna's but most of the other clubs do have a dress code, although it mostly applies to the men.

Shorts are pretty much a no go and T shirts and trainers are (at best) frowned upon.

Trousers, proper shoes, and a shirt with a collar (Polo's are usually OK) are recommended.

It is also worth noting that the sauna's in Port Ambonne are actually two different clubs. Histories d'O is mixed and 2 et 2 is couples only. They have the same ownership and are connected through an internal door. Couples and girls can pass freely between the two but single guys have to stay in the Histories d'O side.

The hotels within the "naughty village" are;

Hotel Oz (expensive)

Hotel Eve (bit less expensive)

But you could also get apartments or villa's.

Best get booking soon tho.

Better to stay in babylon or jardins d'eden, both close to every thing

Joys have a Facebook page which publicises all the events. Their food is excellent. To enjoy Joys it helps if you can speak French. The owner worked in London for a year so is familiar with the UK. I always order in French there . The only problem I ever had was trying to say well done when specifying how I would like a steak cooked . An diner translated for me .

Did anyone travelled from London to Agde by eurostar train and have any info regarding that change in Paris from Paris Gare Du Nord to Paris Gare De Lyon? It looks a bit tight considering that we have 1h 20 min to the next train and gates are close 30 min before . Any info would be appreciated as we have never been there before. X

No it is fine. Download French Metro app to warn of delays and give you route. Buy Metro tickets at St Pancras customer service desk ( book of 10) that will save you 10 min. Are you taking the Marseille train?

there are not many 20 to 30 somethings at cap . that is the time when people have children and how many go on holidays and leave the kids at home?

also people tend to swing in later life because they have the time to themselves and not have to care for their kids 24/7.

I think that is a very accurate analysis.

You do see younger couples and singles there but they are nearly all French and mostly weekenders or day visitors.

Maybe they have got Granny to look after the kids for a couple of nights while they have a weekend away and the like, but a full week (or more) away is too much without the kids.

However the vast majority of international visitors will be over 40, and 50 somethings make up, by far, the largest group.

Weather is still quite changeable in the Cap, already had more than the annual rainfall and more to come.

Was in the village last night (Wednesday), a few people about eating but most places were shut, it should liven up though at the weekend.

You will find it lively at the weekends. In any event the Sauna is open daily from 2 pm and you cannot go wrong in there . For great food try Joys restaurant. The fixed price mid day meal is excellent value.

Yes there were parties last week.

Yes it's warm enough I was naked in the sea at 5.30 a.m. still dark but definitely warm enough to play in the breakers ...fantastic! I was in for about 20 minutes without getting cold. So daytime is definitely fine.

Weather was very mixed from dull, gloomy, thunder and drizzle to hot and need to cool off in the sea.

Have a great time. X
