We are looking for advice on Cap d'Agde, we are looking at a few days in early June 2018 and wish to stay In accommodation within the village and near beaches.... Can anyone help us with types of accomm available *NOT CAMPING) any reccommendations on best companies to contact to arrange this, also any info on what the nightlife is like /any other useful info

Hi. Your choice will either be hotels or apartments . There are only three hotels in the village itself one of which is prohibitely expensive and the other one is long established and quite reasonable.

Your best bet is an apartment . Standards of these will range from being very poor to excellent . There are at least six agents. You will find that the smaller ones will probably provide a better service and are more flexible and adaptable in terms of booking dates ( some agents will only allow Saturday to Saturday bookings ). You can of course search directly on one of the booking platforms . If booking directly ask for confirmation that the accommodation is inside the village ( It is not unknown for some owners to be vague and attempt to charge village prices for accommodation outside the gate ). As all rented accommodation must be registered with the French equivalent of HMRC if renting directly maybe ask for the registration number. In addition the property should have a particular type of conformity certificate ( I cannot remember the exact name) but this means that all the electrics etc have been checked and are safe to use. It is a bit like a car NOT test as the report will also include advisories. I always work on the assumption that if someone is not registered for tax and prepared to defraud the government, they will also defraud me.

Everything inside the village is close together and a fifteen minute walk covers the entire area . You have two saunas ( these are simply sex clubs where anything goes and are open from 2 pm ) at least six clubs for couples, a few more mixed clubs , an adult cinema and some great bars.

Thieves do not take holidays and also operate in Cap so do not leave anything unattended on the beach.

If you are into torture and bondage there is a great club in Port Ambonne Commercial centre .

Your accommodation will either be in Port Ambonne , Port Nature , Port Soleil , Port Venus or Heliopolis .

Port Nature is right in the centre of things if you want to mix with others, but it is noisy, we should know we have an apartment there but fun

We use Anne & David James, and have never been disappointed, they also have an option of picking you up and taking you back to Bezier's Airport - the all round service is excellent.

Anne and David James!!!.....we e-mailed them last year in May for an apt in June....cant rate them highly enough. Clemence in the office is a star!!!......speaks excellent English too on the phone. Remember though, accommodation in Cap is VERY expensive, but clean and comfortable..x

It all depends on your personal requirements.

Staying inside the village you are experiencing the ambiance but it will cost you more! If you stay just outside it will be cheaper. Options - From camping, caravaning, mobile homes, apartments & villas. Warning a villa in cap in the village will probably not be the same as your image of a villa in a brochure. Rental accommodation from this year is supposed to be strictly regulated - "supposed " being the operative word.
