Best time of year for Cap ?

For our first 10 years of going to Cap we always went last week of June / first week of July. For the last few years we have been going last week of Aug / first week of Sept.

We have come to the conclusion that we prefer June / July. The nights are lighter, the shops & bars seem fresher (as do their staff) and there is not the mad crush of people that you get end of Aug.

What are other Cap regulars thoughts ?

Agree with you that June has a different feel to September although most Brits in our experience plus quite a few older Europeans have a tendency to come last week of June or first week of September.

Throughout June it's good, the beaches or not as crowded, there's generally an older set, the village has a relaxed feel to it.

Mid July to Mid August and it's manic here, we tend to avoid it then, just the occasional foray on to the beach on super hot days, mainly the family beach because there's absolutely no room on the couples beach.

. I usually go for five weeks , one week in each of May , June , July , Aug and Sept .

June is one of my favourite months as crowds are less and you are in with a chance of getting a seat in some of the bars ( or if not standing space without people pushing against you all the time . ) In addition service is better in restaurants and the sauna will always have a sufficient number of visitors in order to enjoy yourself . An added bonus is that accommodation is cheaper as August is in the peak season .

Exactly the same as yours although we haven't tried August for comparison.

We've tried early June in the past and it can be a bit thin midweek, ditto September.

Our fortnight for the last few years is last week in June through 1st week July. For us it is just perfect then.

Agree with most people on that.

Our favourite months here are June and September, but then we have all year to choose from...!

If we had the usual 2 or 3 weeks holiday period, we'd go for late June / early July.

As mentioned above, if nothing else the staff are still fresh. By mid September they must secretly be wishing to see the back of people. Although to be fair, most are still very courteous.

We love the couples beach, but if we had 3 weeks in peak season, it might turn us off sex for a while....
