Here's a thought. Instead of a huge, difficult to read list, why don't peeps just switch on Whose Near Me when they get to the Cap? That would produce the most up-to-date list of all.

That's a brilliant idea, however I think the reason for letting people know is that they can plan some meetings before arriving

Hi . When I have compared the listing to those appearing on Whos Near there is no direct correlation between the numbers . I think that you only appear on Who s Near if you are logged in . ( and in addition you will have to be willing to give fab permission to track your location which not all members are happy to do . ) . The information provided on the listing is for a different purpose to that obtained from Who s near .

The listing should assist in advance planning of your trip and you might even use it to book trips at or around times that friends are going . You can also use the listing to see who is organising parties / soirees etc and if necessary obtain advance information on these events .

The list is fine you only need to see the people going on the same dates so its not that difficult.

we also do not want our family knowing where we are as it uses your phones location setting being on doesn't it? correct us if we are wrong.

Members using the listing should only use the last updated version. If you review the latest listing as updated yesterday all listings for anyone whose trip ended prior to July 31 st is deleted . The confusion may arise because it is not possible to delete all the previous postings. Anyone using the listings should ignore all the previous postings and tab down to the end. The update date is always posted at the top of the listing.

In an ideal world fab would allow the option to import an excel spreadsheet and this would allow members to filter by arrival and departure dates .

One option might be to open a new thread every time that the listing is updated ( which would avoid members tabbing through the previous listings ) . However regular users probably just scroll down to the last update in any event and extract the information that they require . They can also tab up to read posters individual comments and click on the relevant posters profile if they require more details ( assuming that the listing request has not been made via private message )
