Cap D'Age Newbies

Hi sexy people. We are looking to make our first visit to Cap D'age next summer. Probably late June, early July.

We would really like some advice on where it's best to stay... ie inside or outside? How to book etc. We'd rather self catering but it's not set in stone.

Late June is a good time to go. Inside is preferable but it ain't cheap so guess it depends on your budget. But book early either way !!

I think it all dpeneds if that's not too much of a cop out. If you are staying a week and want to spend the days on the "bay of pigs" beach and the nights in the restaurants and , bars and clubs, then of course you want to stay inside. Many prefer the self catering approach or the campsite which also hires chalets. There are a couple of hotel on the - Eden and Oz; but as you move into summer they are expensive. Remember the season there is really June to end Sept. or 2nd week Oct, so all the traders need to make their bucks through that short season. We hope to be there in last 2 weeks June / 1st week in July in the campsite. PM for anything more. If you want self catering there's an agency called ann & David James which is under new mgt but probably kept the name. Also AKN. If you want to try the chalet look at Rene Oltra website; if you want the hotels look them up. Glad to help. To do a Billy Connolly and return to the start, if you want to be less intense and see about you you could stay outside in Cap D'Adge or in Gru D'Adge.

hi I agree if you want to get into it stay inside. Try all agencies Sylviane Byll is good or Peng france

also Oltra or as said before rene oltra for the campsite. I really dont think you get the same feeling outside

Hiya, we went to Cap d'Agde for the first time in September and had a lovely time on the beach and in the village. Because we weren't sure what to expect we stayed in hotel in town near the port and bought a weekly pass for the Village Naturiste. Local bus was easy, 1 euro and the number 4 goes straight to the Village. It was great but a lot of things happen late evening and night in the Village so travelling back was a bit inconvenient. That was the only "complaint". That said, as soon as we got home we booked next year's summer flight to Beziers and we'll save up the extra money to rent somewhere in the Village next time

Staying outside the gate has the advantage of being half the price of staying inside .

However you miss out on the convenience factor and cannot just pop down to the beach or drop into the Sauna Club .

Inside the gate is a much more enjoyable experience . If you are outside the gate , the last bus at night is around 9 pm and after that you will probably have a thirty minute walk .

Another point is that if you strike lucky and need to entertain someone in your apartment it is not particularly practical if you have a long or inconvenient journey back to your apartment.

We would agree with that. We have been going to Cap for seven years and always stayed inside for our main holiday. Yes it is a bit more expensive but for the convenience it is well worth the extra.

In fact if you factor in the full cost for the village pass as opposed to the residents discounted rates, plus a few late night taxi's back to outside accommodation the gap narrows considerably.

We have been going to Cap for 8 years, and always stayed inside, you are more involved with things. And it's not far to walk to things, especially during the nights when very sexy outfits and heels are worn, we would always recomend staying inside.i would recomend Ann & David James as very good agents that have very good apartments for hire.

We book with agn and have never been let down and inside is always better

We go may June or 1st weeks September cheaper but brilliant 1 week easily for under £1000

Beziers is definitely a lot more convenient . A 30 euro taxi ride gets you to the village or two bus rides .

From Montpelier it is a tram , a bus , then train and a further bus journey .

Airport's in order closest 1st

Bezier, Montpellier, Nimes, Carcassonne, Perpignan, Toulouse, Marseille. That should cover everyone in the UK.

We flew into Montpelier because flying out of Gatwick was easier for us. We used a couple from fabs for the transfer to and from the airport and they dropped us right outside Oz inn which couldn't have been easier.

This time of year there is very little in Europe. Probably the closest would be the Canaries.
