What's people's thoughts on the new venue (opened June this year) for the foam party?

For us, we think it's lost some of the magic of the old venue !!

It's almost like the owners of Glamour went to a team of designers and said "build us a venue for foam parties", but that the designers had never been to a Glamour foam party to see what it was like.

At the old venue we'd go at least a couple of times per week. At the new one, it's only once a week max.

Pretty much our thoughts as well.

To be fair the play beds are an improvement but that was about the only thing that was for us.

We also thought that the party atmosphere in the foam was non existent this year. The girls who would dance on the bar chucking T shirts and hats Etc just didn't happen. Also the foam area itself seemed a bit too big. At the old venue it was a bit tighter and all the bodies were much closer but now a bit too much spread out. There were lots of people in the foam but many times I could stretch out my arms without touching anyone. We were there late June-early July so maybe they changed it as the season went on. We will still give it a go next year but we are hoping for changes.

the old one was much better .we feel the same there was also more effort by the staff to create an atmosphere before.

also the reserved beds are a pain.

we'll still go but as with you just once per visit.

Bergerac, France

We had a couple of visits there this summer. As mentioned above, the reserved beds are a pain. The foam is tucked away and it's almost two separate areas.

If you arrive 5 mins after they open you stand no chance of getting a bed and there are very few places to sit on the ground without someone tripping over you.

Doubt we'll visit too often next year, whereas we were frequent visitors for many years.

Sometimes, new isn't always better...
